Good Morning! What an honor it is for me to have this opportunity to give you a snapshot of what’s been going on in the world of Media. We have been on a great adventure this past year and I am so thankful for your grace, love and patience through it all.The Tabernacle Media’s main purpose is to use media as a way to share all that God is doing at The Tabernacle through video, web, and graphics. The vision of the Media Ministry is to become a global resource and mediator of God’s word to all nations.

We are living in a fast pace, ever changing technological world where, at times, can be very challenging to keep up with. There are more options for communication today than ever before. People also have different preferred methods of communication, so reaching each person can be difficult. Here at The Tabernacle we have made great strides to meet these demands.

One of the first changes or I should say major upgrade we did was transition from Standard Definition video to High Definition video. This major transition included the purchase of (3) HD video cameras, running of over 300ft of new cables, and all the necessary equipment and software to create a crisp and sharp view for our online audience. Yes! This brings us into the major changes we have been working through with our HD Live-Streaming. We live stream our 10am and 7pm services via Facebook, YouTube and Church Online (through our website) where we have had over 13,000 Facebook views of our Sunday Services for the month of April!! We still have a lot of work to do to make our streaming experience more flawless, so I thank you for your patience and feedback.

This is a very high level overview of what we’ve been working on in the Media department. Stay tuned as there is more to come. We are in great need for folks who are interested in running: Audio for live-streaming, the booth during services, cameras (robotic and manual). If you are interested and want to learn more, please send me an email at cleight@thetab.org.

Blessings,
Cheri Leight
