What is MOPS?

MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers…

We believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying alongside one another.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”

We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

MOPS at The Tabernacle

MOPS at The Tabernacle meets the 2nd and 4th of each month, with exceptions near holidays.  We provide childcare adjacent to our MOPS meeting place for children thru kindergarten age, and use the Moppets program.

We meet from 9:30 – 11:30am in the Family Life Center on our campus.  A typical meeting begins with brunch, followed by a teaching and small group discussion time. We typically end with a craft or community project. If you have further questions or would like to join us, please contact Mari-Lee Ruddy at 716-861-5645.

Because of MOPS, Wednesday becomes a special day. I look forward to every other week to be with great moms and lessons to learn how to be a mom.

What I appreciate about MOPS is to have my daughter to be well cared for on her own while I get to be on my own with my own girlfriends.

I appreciate MOPS for just being accepting and a place where I can be real and not have to hide anything.

I love being able to connect with other moms and fell like you can download questions about your children, moms tuff, or spouse stuff and there is no Judgement and there's full transparency.

I love coming to MOPS and being in a non-judgmental environment and to just let my mom brain run loose.

What I appreciate about MOPS is to be able to come together with other women and feel not judged along with making friendships that will last a lifetime.

I love to connect with other moms and to connect on a Godly level and to get my baby fix.
